Biovega d.o.o. participates in the voluntary agreement on food waste prevention, Zajedno protiv otpada od hrane (Together against food waste). The agreement brings together food producers and processors, retailers, hospitality businesses, academia, local and regional authorities and non-profit organisations.
The original post presented the signatories’ joint reporting and Biovega’s report covering 1 January to 31 December 2025. The attached report describes customer education, waste monitoring and improvements in food handling processes.
Activities reported for 2025 included posters in 24 stores, three educational posts on the website and social media, and one loyalty app post. An annual report on quantities of food waste generated in 2025 was also prepared. Some activities in the table are marked as achieved in 2024.
The report also covers warehouse management and automatic stock replenishment systems, shelf-life monitoring, and improvements in procurement, storage, processing, packing and transport. These are areas through which Biovega seeks to prevent food waste.
